The Moth's Education Program

The Moth Education Program creates spaces where young storytellers listen, celebrate each other’s voices, and tell their own stories. Through crafting and sharing true, personal narratives, participants gain a deeper understanding of themselves, their peers, their community and the world around them.

Our Programs

Moth StoryLab + College Essay Workshop

Develop, practice, and share your personal narrative with our free, virtual out-of-school national storytelling workshop for high school students (grades 10-12). Fall, spring, and summer workshops are available!

Opportunities for students include 6-week, 1-week, and weekend intensives (virtual and in person options). Fall, spring, and summer workshops are available!

Residencies

Residencies are for 10 - 12th grade students. We partner with schools and community-based organizations providing 8-week programs that culminate in a SLAM. Students get to learn the art and craft of personal storytelling. There will be snacks, games, brainstorming activities, and community building.
